These are deployments during 2009 arranged chronologically (colors are same deployment)
April 6--Bruce at M0 for surface deployment (Zephyr)
April 15--Mack in Sphere (dive #1) for first D-ESP engineering dive < cruise CANCELED because of wind
April 23--Mack deployed in Sphere (dive #2) off Lobos. Took it to ~ 700m. One DWSM pump was non-functional. Doug later discovered fuzz from bag was caught in impeller.
April 29--Recover Bruce at M0 (Zephyr)
May 1--Mack in Sphere (dive #3) connected to DWSM; incredible success. Nat Geo filmed dive. (Lobos)
May 14--Deploy NEO w/PCR, surface deployment (Zephyr)
May 27--First Drifter dive; used weighted cable (Zephyr)
June 5-9 -- Western Flyer Trip. D-ESP, Drifter, and CTD casts. MOVIES: D-ESP launch is here . Drifter launch is here .
June 11 -- Recover NEO. (Zephyr)
FALL Network Deployment

September 24 -- Deploy Moe w/PCR at M0. Deployed Mack at Santa Cruz. Deployed Bruce in the bight. (Zephyr) Lost communications with Bruce that day.
September 28 -- Recover (dead) Bruce. Comms box had water in it, but radio worked. EM cable had 2 broken wires. (Zephyr)
September 30 -- Deploy D-ESP on MARS (Lobos). Hand issue at first, but 'fixed' itself. Worked until Oct. 7 when wrong puck was loaded and water introduced into core, frying puck heater. We turned off and first recovery day (Oct 13) is weathered out. It still awaits recovery.
October 14 -- Re-deploy Bruce (Zephyr). New comms box, re-terminated EM cable. Working well after deployment.
October 20 -- Install pump system on pier at Santa Cruz Wharf. October 22 -- Neo installed on SC Wharf.
October 30 -- Recover D-ESP off MARS (Lobos).
October 29 -- Recover both Moe from M0 and Mack from Santa Cruz (Zephyr).
November 2 -- Recover Bruce from the bight (Zephyr). This ends Fall Network Deployment.
November 25 -- Recover NEO from SC Wharf.
December 14 -- Deploy D-ESP (Gordon) on MARS (Lobos). DWSM hiccuped on morning of Dec 28. 'Empty' switch seems damaged. Decided to stop sampling, exercise MFB with elution water negatives, and recover D-ESP on Jan. 7, 2010 w/ Lobos.
